Privacy Policy

How NeuroOrthoNYC collects, uses and protects the information you share through this website and by text message.

Last updated: October 14, 2026

NeuroOrthoNYC (“we”, “us” or “our”), a medical practice serving the New York metro area, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, when we share it and the choices you have. It also covers the text messages (SMS) you can choose to receive from us. By using the website, you agree to the practices described here.

Your medical information

When you become our patient, the health information in your medical record is protected by federal law, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). How we use and share that information is explained in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive as a patient and can request from our office at any time. This Privacy Policy covers the information collected through the website and our text messages.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you book an appointment, tell us your story or contact us through the website, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address and phone number, and anything you choose to write in your message. If you choose to receive text messages, we also record your phone number and your consent.

Please share only what we need to arrange your visit. Our website forms are not meant for medical records, test results or insurance details; our team gathers your full history when you become a patient.

Imaging and documents

Our forms link to an upload page run by Purview, the imaging service our office uses, where you can send MRI or CT reports, referrals or photos. Files sent there go to that service, not to this website, and are handled under its own privacy and security terms.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, our servers and the services we use receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the site that referred you. We use cookies and similar technologies for this, as described below.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your requests and schedule, confirm or change appointments;
  • direct your request to the right specialist on our team;
  • send the text messages you agreed to receive;
  • operate, protect and improve the website, and understand how visitors use it;
  • meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

Text messages (SMS)

When you opt in to receive SMS messages, we collect:

  • Your phone number
  • Consent to send SMS messages

We use your information to:

  • Send you the SMS messages you’ve opted in to receive
  • Provide updates, promotions, or other relevant content based on your preferences

We do not share your phone number or SMS opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying with “STOP” to any message we send you. Reply “HELP” for help. The terms of our text messages are in our Terms & Conditions.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • with service providers that help us run the website, our forms, scheduling, email, text messages and imaging uploads, who may use it only to provide those services to us;
  • within our practice, with the doctors and staff who need it to respond to you or care for you;
  • when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our patients, our practice or others;
  • with a successor organization if the practice is merged or transferred, under the protections of this policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember your preferences and measure how visitors use it. We may use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, which report on visits as a whole rather than identifying you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the website may not work as intended if you do.

Some pages show content from other services, such as maps and patient reviews. Those services may set their own cookies under their own policies.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive medical details through our website forms or by email.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as long as the law requires. Information that becomes part of your medical record is kept as medical record laws require.

Your choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us.
  • Cookies: change your browser settings.
  • Your information: you can ask what information we hold about you from the website, and ask us to correct or delete it, subject to the law. Patients’ rights over their medical records are explained in our Notice of Privacy Practices.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent or guardian can contact us on a child’s behalf.

The website links to other sites, such as hospitals, maps and social networks. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
